...I downloaded Paint Tool SAI today against my better judgment.

The brushes feel reaaaally different from openCanvas/Photoshop/Painter and I'm having such a hard time getting used to them.

Too bad it doesn't record events like oC :T (I think?)

FF: Distant Worlds was AMAZING. sdkfj;askdlfja;slkjd oh my god. My mind is blown. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra + FF music sklfdjslkfjas;j;s EARGASMS EVERYWHERE

And the UBC opera ensemble. And the soloists! /DIES I don't even know where to start.

I only wished there was less FFVIII and more FFIX. But The Man With the Machine Gun was sososo well done. And Don't Be Afraid. And Fisherman's Horizon. Oh, what the hell, I wish the concert was extended by an hour. Or five. :|

To Zanarkand and Aerith's Theme were both good (of course), but I especially enjoyed Theme of Love. Gave me the shivers :T

And the encores, bahaha. Though I knew One Winged Angel was coming because my friend was listening to the UBC opera's rehearsal. I liked how everyone knew the concert was *really* over once the orchestra played the fanfare, ROFL.

All in all, the concert was worth every penny. :) Lovedddd it. Just wish I got to the CDs before they sold out!

In other news, aced my chem midterm, probably failed physics and math (wtf, blasphemy), and will fail bio if I don't crawl back into my hole and study. I'm really sorry for not commenting/replying to comments oh my goddd

The character development is...terrible. Honestly, by the end of the game I hadn't warmed up to any of the characters except, like...Nel.
The dialogue is slow and repetitive. Coupled with more or less the worse voice acting I've ever experienced (FARLEEN WTFFFF EARS BLEEDING) = many hours of suffering.
The story. Honestly, after the terrible intro (I almost stopped playing because the first bit of the game, before you get blasted off to Vanguard, was so tedious), the game started picking up but...the plot ended up taking a dive for the worse. I actually enjoyed the game (cliché as it was) until you're forced to leave Elicoor II to save the universe after the Vendeeni attack. Everything after that feels horribly rushed.
The ending. WTF was the point of me wasting two hours of my life trying to get to/defeat Luther if he was going to delete the world anyway? And that the universe couldn't be deleted anyway because its inhabitants, uh, "believed it its existence"? What kind of a freaking reason was that? Really though, the entire game screams deus ex machina. (Fayt wiping out the entire Vendeeni fleet with his "special powers", anyone?)
...Adray trying to marry Clair off was pretty lolol though.
The backgrounds are gorgeous (especially in FMVs), but I really wished Tri-Ace didn't opt for the anime style and spent more time on translating the characters into 3D and making them more...well, animated. Their facial expressions were really lacking. I guess I've been spoiled silly by Square Enix, though.

I've never really liked dungeon exploration too much (lol why am I playing RPGs then), but Star Ocean dungeons really take tedious to a new level. Getting past places like Mosel Dunes and that dungeon in the beginning with the Haulers was such a gongshow.

I walked into the game thinking it would suck (lol), but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, it had nothing on the first two VP games, but overall, I enjoyed it enough to beat the game thrice for all three endings and do a lap of the Seraphic Gate :B
Difficulty is seriously unbalanced. The game is either super easy (double sin rewards, new game+) or super hard.
This is my first SRPG, so I don't know too much about them, but the battle system was easy enough to learn, if not-so-easy to master. It was fun enough to keep me entertained for the first two runs of the game (I liked the second run the best because of all my monster weapons >:D Caduceussssss.), but it kinda got repetitive after that.
...Especially if you're going for double sin every battle. You pretty had to do a four-person siege on every single enemy to make double sin :/ That sin boosting accessory doesn't even help.
SERAPHIC GATEEEEE. I died laughing. My favourite part was either Hrist's scene ("where's MY leading role!?") or Freya's ("A spring-autumn romance with a woman so hideously old is utterly out of the question, I'm afraid.")
The concept/story of the game was a nice breather from the typical JRPG crap (lol Star Ocean). I've always liked Valkyrie Profile because the themes are much darker (as opposed to sunshine rainbows unicorns omg let's save the world!!!111 ...lol Star Ocean) I enjoyed the concept of Hel's covenant/pluming. Though sometimes I couldn't bring myself to plume my characters :B
Wylfred. I never really liked him. Partly because his whole existence was defined by his lust for revenge on Lenneth, partly because he was an idiot :| Honestly, part of the reason I wanted to finish the game was because I wanted to see his ass kicked by Lenneth :T I purposely overplumed just to have Freya majorly pwn him lololol
Needs moar valkyries. ("This is Valkyrie Profile, not Mortal Profile!") I mean, even Lenneth hardly got any screentime. And Silmeria isn't in it at all :|
Lieselotte = fucking awesome. I mean, almost all of her battle quotes are sexual innuendos. ("Wasn't that the best you've ever had?")
Character designs = amazing. I have such a hard-on for the Yoshinari twins' art :|...

Taking five minutes to check your order in the middle of the drive-thru lane when there are five cars behind you? Makes you look like a dick.
When you glare at me and not say anything while I hand your food out, I'm more inclined to remember your face at spit in your food next time. Not really, but would it kill you to not act like I drowned your puppies and put them through the paper shredder when I serve you your food?

Similarly, trying to order food while talking on your cellphone at the same time is just about the rudest thing you can do. A modicum of respect is all I ask.
Just because I work at McDonald's, doesn't mean I'm a high school drop-out doomed to flip burgers for the rest of my life, so don't talk to me like I have a negative IQ.
We're not psychic. Really. When you order a Big Mac, don't be shocked we give you just the burger, instead of a meal. Mind-reading is not included in McDonald's training.

I upgraded to 4.5.18. It kinda feels like a combination of Painter and Photoshop...? I'm kinda ticked they got rid of the old brush control system, though. It takes me a million times longer to get the kind of brush I want now :||||
